ENTERTAINMENTS.

FULLER’S PICTURES,

An outstanding feature of the current programme at Fuller’s is a stirring poignant drama of middle-class life, “The Rainy Day.” A young wife sacrifices everything so that her husband can keep up appearances in business. By the time his promotion comes the habit becomes second nature. She stints and saves and neglects her appearance till her husband meets “the other woman.” Then his wife wakes up to the facts of life. What happens now is heart-throbbing and the end is delightful. The Keystone Co. provide the comic element in, “Ambrose’s Sour Grapes.” The story, stripped of its comic action, seems arid, but the fun never ceases. The comic element completely overshadows the plot and makes it one ot the funniest and best ot all the two-reel Keystone farce comedies. A full complement of scenic, topical and dramatic films constitute a really fine programme which will be repeated to-night. FRIDAY & SATURDAY. The change of programme for Friday and Saturday includes an authentic war topical, “With the French Army in Alsace.” The star picture is an engrossing story of river pirates and a girl detective, presented by the Kalera Company, “Following a Clue,” This is a drama of real struggles and the love story that is woven through the play is very engaging, and the finish is exciting. The Keystone Company presents another tip-top comedy in “Ambrose’s Little Hatchet,” Another special feature is, “The Heart Punch,” featuring Jess Willard (champion boxer of the world), introducing his methods of training and other athletic feats. Tnere is also a breezy and buoyant narrative with a good heart interest that makes for its popularity. Also the latest Topical Budget and a full complement of supporting attractions.
