CORRESPONDENCE.

(To the Editor)

Sir. -~-A paragraph appeared in Tuesday's issue stating that a meeting was held in the Montoa Schoolroom to discuss making sand bags for the soldiers. The paragraph caused considerable indignation in Moutoa, as outside the convenor o , there was hardly a person that knew anything about the meeting. Now, sir, had the meeting been advertised in the Hkrat.d, which is taken by every household in Moutoa, the Montoa people, who are as patriotic as any community in the Dominion, would have turned out to a man and woman to see what they could do for our gallant lads. I may state in conclusion that a branch of the Ladies Guild is to he formed in Montoa. —I am, etc., Moutoa Resident.
