ENTERTAINMENTS.

FULLER’S PICTURES. “THE ADVENTURES OF KATHLYN.” “The Adventures of Kathlyn,’’ the great serial wild animal drama commences to-morrow night and will he shown every Friday and Saturday, including matinees, for 13 weeks. The picture has had a phenomenal run wherever screened and American papers describe the film as the finest serial picture ever produced. The following is a synopsis of the first series entitled, “The Unwelcome Throne.” Kathlyn Hare is the daughter of Colonel Hare, a collector of wild animals. He has saved the life of the King of Allaha from a leopard, and has been decorated for his bravery. He is about to start for Allaha, and takes a large envelope, heavily sealed, which he directs “to be opened by my daughters, Kathlyn and Winnie, at midnight, 31st December.” Six months later Kathlyn and Winnie are about to open the package when their attention is called to an affair outside. Leaving the package, they go through the door. Like lightning, a high caste Hindoo steals the contents of the package, leaving a letter in its folds. This leads to many exciting adventures. She eventually is told she must become Queen, and is unwillingly crowned by the High Priest, The crowning develops a wonderful spectacle, its magnificence having kinship with the famed Durbar of India. Stirring events happen, and Kathlyn is stricken with terror with what is told her, which ends the first series. Other items of interest are : A splendid film, teeming with interest, “A Trip Through Uganda” ; a closely woven dramatic story, “Moonshine Mountains,” this story was a great success as a magazine offering recently ; “Topical Budget,” depicting events of recent happenings ; a very merry Bunny comedy, “The Locked House.” Bunny is the Mayor of Smithtown. The police tear he is to be shot at, and arrange for his protection by keeping private detectives lu his wake. Bunuy thinks these detectives are murderers. The end is a scream ; a Keystone comedy loaded with laughs, “Au Incompetent Hero,” Keystone Fatty figures largely in this. He flirts with a married woman across the way, with astonishingly laughable results. ROYAL PICTURES. Pride of place on the programme to be screened at the Royal tonight and to-morrow nignt will be occupied by a romantic drama of court life—magnificent, refined, enthralling. On Saturday the star feature of the ordinary programme will be “Sea Nymphs.” The 7th series of ‘‘Trey o’ Hearts,” will also be screeened.
