LADIES SEWING GUILD.
Tbs benefit picture entertainment held in the Royal on Monday night, with the object of raising funds tor the purpose of purchasing material to be made uo into garments by the Foxtou Ladies Sewing Guild for the poor of Great Britain and Belgium, resulted in a return of 17s od. The guild has already accomplished good work and intend to continue operations throughout the winter months. The sewing meetings are held in the Council Cham' hers every Tuesday afternoon at 3.30 o’clock. More workers are required and those willing to assist the guild but who prefer to work at home, can secure material already cut out, by applying to the guild. Material or money contributions will lie thankfully received and we hope the womenfolk of Foxtou will rally round the guild and render all the assistance they can to so deserving an object. Sympathisers may communicate with the president, Mrs Frank Robinson or the joint secretaries, Mrs R, Moore and Miss j. Ross.
