BOWLING.

The tournament held by the Palmerston Bowling Club on Good Friday, Saturday and Easter Monday was very successful. In the rinks 23 teams competed and in the pairs 30 took part. One rink from Foxton competed, comprised of: F. Whibley, McColl. D. Whibley and Rimmer (s'). In the six rounds their record was three wins and three losses. The following are the teams played and the scores, Foxton’s score given first in each match - Birch, Duncan, Griggs. Spooner (s) (Palmerston) 20—-13 Stevens, Stuart, Wilson, Livingstone (s) (Palmerston) 4 —14 Parker, Franks, Small. Cameron (s) (Eketahuua) 12-18 Harp, Hughan, Hall, Fisher ts) (Carterton) 7 —24 Tapp, Mundy, Cunniugbame, Jones (s) (Terrace End) 17 —14

Two Foxton teams took part in the pairs competition, D. Whibley and Rimmer (s) and McColl and Hlslop (s). Hlslop wou three matches aud lost two and Rimmer won two and lost three. The final of the rinks between Thompson (Wellington) and Fisher (Carterton) was won by Fisher after a very interesting game.

Hewatt (Pahiatua) won the pairs.
