HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.

A committee meeting of the above society, presided over by Mr G. H. Stiles (president), was held on Thursday evening. Apologies were received from several members for non-attendance. Accounts in connection with the recent show were passed for payment. The secretary was instructed to convey the Society’s thanks to the judges who officiated. It was decided to hold over the suggestions to judges until next meeting. The secretary presented a statement of receipts and expenditure for the Autumn Show. The total receipts amounted to ,£3O lis 2d, and the expenditure to 8s Sd, leaving a debit balance of 17s fid. Several other minor matters were dealt with, and the meeting rose.
