THE GRIFFIN FUND.
A meeting of the Griffin bund Committee was held in the Council Chamber yesterday afternoon. The Mayor presided and those [■.resent wore the Rev Mr Raine si'.d Messrs Hornulow, A. ,S. Kaston, W. K. Barber and M. Petreau. The amount collected from all sources totalled ,£74 which included a small amount mil! outstanding. It was decided to apply the money to the reduction of existing mortgages on the home and the Mayor was authorised to act in this connection cu behalf of the committee. The committee desire to publicly thank all who contributed have to the fund.
