BOWLING.
The Shannon Bowling Club is holding a pairs tournament tomorrow, for which entries have been received from a number of surrounding clubs. Foxton vyill be represented by two pairs, Rimmer and Hislop and Spring and D. Whihley. The attendance on the greens yesterday afternoon was very good, considering that no halfholiday was observed. Afternoon tea was provided by Mr? Evans. During the last few days, only one competition match has been played, Gardes (n) beating D. Whibley (6) in the Witchell trophy competition by 31 to 21.
