BELGIAN RELIEF FUND.
Parcels of clothing, etc., for the relief of the Belgian reiugees have been received at Messrs Levin aud Co.’s office from the following ; Mesdames Fraser, Rimmer, John Ross? Miss Duncan, Messrs J. M. Barr and G. Huntley. As it is proposed to forward the clothing to Wellington next week, intending contributors are urged to forward their donations as soon as possible. Yesterday a “ children's afternoon ” in aid of the Belgian Relief Fund was held at the residence of Mrs Claris, and as a result of same the sum of £2 odd was raised for this deserving cause. Elsewhere in this issue the Mayor (Mr G. H. Stiles), invites donations towards the fund. All donations will be thankfully received and acknowledged in these columns. Mr Stiles has headed the list with a donation p£ £* 2s.
