INDIAN FAIR.

MASONIC HALL TO-NIGHT,

The Indian Fair, organised by the local Salvation Army Corps, will be opened in the Masonic Hall this evening by the Mayor. Preparations for the fair have been in progress for some time and the function promises to be successful from every point of view. The proceeds are in aid of the selfdenial fund. Various stalls will be presided over by Mesdames King, Misses Clark, Brown, Hart, Captain Smith and Lieut. Glover. The interior ot the hall is tastefully decorated and the stalls nicely arranged. Those in charge of the stalls will be dressed to represent Indian countries in which the Salvation Army are carrying on their operations. A programme of songs and recitations will be submitted and other attractive items, including a doll show, presented. Brigadier Glover will be in attendance and deliver a brief address concerning the social ramifications of this great organisation and explain the purposes for which the seU-denial appeal is made. The fair will continue on Wednesday, when another programme will be given by the seniors. Doors open each night at 7.30. Admission 6d.
