Alexander Herbert Wilkie, a borough Councillor at Ohakune, claimed >£2so from Patrick Dunne, late proprietor of the “Ohakune Times,” in respect to an alleged libel contained in a letter published in the paper. Mr Justice Edwards heard the case, and awarded plaintiff 40s damages.
