The Rev D. C. Bates wires today as follows ; Easterly moderate to strong winds, and veering by east to north, then freshening. The weather appears likely to be cloudy aud unsettled, with rain following. Barometer falling, tor storm appears to be approaching from the west. Sea moderate, tides poor.
