ORGIES AT RAKAIAPA.
Christchurch, April 1.
In fining Samuel Dixon £5 and costs for supplying liquor to intoxicated natives at Rakaia Pa, Mr Bishop, S.M., remarked that it was the most disgraceful case in all his experience. If he had his wav, he said, every Maori would be prohibited. Witnesses had seen men fighting on a launch.
