BOWLING.

Yesterday afternoon two rinks from the Palmerston North Club visited Foxton, and a very pleasant afternoon was spent on the local green. The aggregate scoring was very close—Palmerston 42, F'oxtou 41 —but the games were most one-sided. In No- 1 rink, Stuuell secured au easy victory, a feature of the game being the number of fours scored, Foxton securing this number in five heads and the visitors in one. In the other rink Rimmer was badly beaten. Afternoon tea was provided by Mesdames Parkes and Barr. The following are the teams and scores : PALMERSTON. FOXTON. JSachelqr McColl Kerslake Harvey Smith Petrie Fraser (s) 10 Stunell (s) 32 Bennett D. Whibley Griggs Barber Drew Woods Seifert (s) 32 Rimmer (s) 9
