FATAL ACCIDENT AT A FLAXMILL.
A fatal accident occurred at the Ora Flaxmilling Company’s Opae mill at Porotawhai yesterday by which a man named Frederick Grover Chambers met his death. No one witnessed the accident . but the deceased apparently got caught in the belting and was . drawn round the engine shaft. He was very much mangled and when • found life was extinct. The accident occurred about f 7.45 o’clock, shortly after the mill started running. : The deceased was 34 years of 1 age, a married man with seven 1 children, residing at Weraroa, ; Levin. ' An inquest is being held at Levin this afternoon.
