A PEA RIFLE EPISODE.

Au exciting incident occured at the Agricultural show grounds last evening, resulting in the arrest of William McCloud, who was conducting a Wild West show. Two men were attending some horses when McCloud is alleged to have fired at one of them with a pea rifle, A coustable, hearing the shot, was quickly ou the scene. As he arrived, McCloud is said to have ordered the boy to “Get out of the road,” and to have hurried him up by discharging a revolver past a lad. Ou catching sight of the constable, McCloud turned and ran. After a chase through the show tent the constable secured and arrested him.
McCloud iu a statement, said the men attending the horses were using bad language and be requested them to “Cut it out.” They did not do so and, consequently, be fired, 10 compel them to desist. He came before the Court today and was remanded for a week.
