BOWLING.
On account of the inclemency ot the weather during the past week or so, the attendance on the bowling green has suffered, but the fine weather yesterday was responsible for a paiticularly good muster on both the green and croquet lawns. Afternoon tea was provided by Mrs Freeman. The final of last year’s singles competition was played between Rimmer and Woods, and resulted in a runaway victory for the former, the score being 28 to 8. Good entries have been received for both the bowling and croquet competitions, and it is hoped to get a start with these almost immediately.
