BOWLING.

Yesterday afternoon three rinks from the local Club visited Shannon and spent a very pleasant time on the Shannon green. The Shannon players however proved themselves too good for the visitors, the Foxtonites being defeated in all three games. The following are the rinks and scores : Shannon, Foxton. Bilderbeck Green Mitchell Bryant Butt Woods Stephenson (s) 15 Rimmer (s) 12 Roos Barber Fargber Healey Bromley Spring Gunning (s) 20 Hislop (s) 19 Hensmau Nye Lind Whibley Knowles Harvey Roach (s) 20 Witchell (s) 19 On account of the three rinks visiting Shannon the local green was practically deserted but there was a good attendance of ladies on the croquet lawns. Afternoon tea was provided by Mesdames Collins and Petrie.
