ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
Gisborne, Nov. 26. A fatal accident occurred on the Makarika Road, near Waipiro Bay, yesterday. A labourer named Chas. Wilson was run over by a dray, which was driven by himself. It is presumed that Wilson fell out of the dray, the wheel of which passed over his head, death being instantaneous. An elderly Maori woman committed suicide by cutting her throat at Jerusalem, a small Maori village between Waipiro Bay and Xuparoa yesterday.
