WOOL SALES.
FATE IN PRICES. Auckland, Nov. 2 r i. The first wool sale of the season took place to-day, the local offerings being approximately 7,000 bales, compared with 8,300 bales for the opening sale last year. Prices underwent an all round fall of a penny hall-penny to twopence per pound.
