ENTERTAINMENTS.

MUNICIPAL PICTURES. The programme for to-morrow night promises to be a most entertaining and instructive one. The star film of 2,000 feet, ‘‘A Regiment of Two,” is bright, brilliant, sparkling and striking. It tells how, longing for a little recreation, unfettered with the restraints inseparable from domestic life, Wilton and bis son-in-law scheme to obtain a night off once a week, pretending to their wives that they have joined the 13th Regiment, and must drill every Friday night. Jack Brent, who really belongs to the 13th Regiment, calls on Laura, and they are both let into the secret. A sudden call to the front of the 13th Regiment places the two revelling husbands iu an awkward position. They fix up some stage uniforms and accoutrements, while Jack aids them by taking a bundle of letters, which are to be posted from the front, one every day. The peace of mind of the poor husbands receive a rude shock one day, as they read iu the paper an account of the total annihilation of the 13th Regiment at Panama. They decide to return home at once, and invent a story of a marvellous escape. They do so, and give a graphic account of their suppossed adventures and details of the great disaster. The dramas are : “The Mistake,” aud “Two Little Kittens,” the former being a stirring story of the loueß gold mines of North America; while the latter is one of Edison’s sweet and clean human playlets. The comics are : “A Way Women Have,” and “Good Morning Judge,” both of which will afford ample amusement to those desiriug a good laugh. The coloured scenic, “Round about Cairo,” is ravishingly beautiful aud life like. The coloured sporting film, “A Canoe Race,” is intensely interesting while the topical films, “The English Gazette,” and “The Wreck of the s.s. Devon,” will be found to afford the audience a view ot the most recent events, while the natural study, “Jean aud her Family,” has to be seen to be appreciated.
