THE HEMP MARKET.
HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT. The High Commissioner cabled at noon yesterday as follows: — The Manila hemp market is quiet with a tendency in favour of buyers. Philippines quotation also easier; Manila £3O, forward 20000 bales. New Zealand hemp market opened dull, but at close there was a better demand for forward. Good fair ,£2B 5s to £2B 1 os, fair 10s to ,£25 15s, according to position. Sisal quotations equal to ,£2B c.i.f., Europe, according to quality.
