COURT AFFAIRS IN AUCKLAND.

Auckland, September 16.

A meeting of the legal profession, attended by 117 members, discussed cases recently decided in the Supreme Court. The position was described as amounting to a crisis. A resolution was carried, expressing the opinion that certain matters in connection with the administration of justice in the Supreme Court were not satisfactory, either to those pleading at the Bar or to litigants. A resolution was signed by eighty-six present, and will be referred to the Council of the Law Society, who will probably lorword it to the AttorneyGeneral. In connection with the petition to the Mayor on the same subject, asking him to convene a public meeting, Mr Parr states he is taking another day or two to consider before making any announcement.
