MUNICIPAL PICTURES
A large and most appreciative audience greeted the double programme as shown by the above last evening. Another highly attractive programme has been arranged for Saturday night, the star film, ‘‘Queen Bess” of 2,600 teet, being alone enough to draw an audience of itself. This film is stated to be of exceptional merit depicting stirring scenes that curred during the days of the Virgin Queen, and it is stated that the staging is magnificent. The other dramas are, ‘‘Tim Grogan’s Foundling,” a grand drama by the great Vitagraph Company, and is 1000 feet of absorbing _and interesting picture narrative ; ‘‘Saved by His Child,” is a drama with a most sensational climax showing how thieves and wouldbe murders may be foiled by even a brave child ; and ‘‘The Female Detective” is one of the greatest detective dramas telling of a wonderful story of love and outlawry, illustrating the marvellous adventures of Kitty Tyren, the Queen of American thief catches. The Warwick Topical Gazette is full of interesting events. ‘‘Basso the Ape,” is a most exhilarating and entertaining film. ‘‘The Haunted Hotel,” one of Pathe’s greatest and longest trick films is most ingenious of its kind. It is almost novel, decidedly puzzling as to the manner in which the effects are produced, and abundantly entertaining. The scenic, ‘‘The Cascades of Liri,” is a gorgeous, radiant and most beautiful water effect. “The Cure” is a comic that will produce roars of laughter and is a real fountain of amusement. The above programme can confidently be stated as being one that will cater tor the various likes of the different parts of the audience.
