SATURDAY’S RESULTS.
Seniors.
Tainui (33) v. Shannon (9). Hui Mai (24) v. Kimberley (10).
Juniors.
Foxton (o') v. Tokomam (0). Shannon (6) v. Weraroa (6).
TOKOMARU v. FOXTON.
This match was played at Levin and proved a splendid contest throughout, play being carried from one end of the field to the other, and although both sides were forced several times, neither side could cross the line. Tokomaru were better than Foxton in the forward, but their backs were weak. The game ending in a draw, neither side scoring. Mr ]■ Rose refereed. SHANNON v. WERAROA. This match was played at Shannon and proved a very interesting contest. The game throughout was of a very even nature, each side scoring six points. During the progress of the Shannon-Weraroa match at Shannon on Saturday, Forbes, ot the Shannon team, had the misfortune to break his leg. After receiving medical attention he was removed to the Otaki Hospital.
The Marist Bros. v. City rugby football match, played at Auckland on Saturday, ended in an uproar. Neither team had scored two minutes from time, but right on time Dennehy, who had retired through injury, returned to the field, and, being unmarked, secured the ball from a kick by the City full-back, and scored. The City players disputed the try, and about 300 spectators invaded the field and prevented the kick at goal being taken. Feeling ran high, and as an outcome .of alleged trouble on the field a player and a line umpire fought in the dressing room.
