EXCURSION TO BATTLESHIP.

Fkom what vve can gather from the local stationmaster, it would appear that the Foxtou school excursionists will have to rest content with the present railway arrangements. It is our misfortune to be on a branch line. The Foxtou, Himatangi andßangiotu contingent will arrive in Wellington an hour later than the excursionists south of Longburn and will leave an hour earlier. The local committee is attending to details so as to prevent any delay in getting the children aboard the ship. From a statement made by the Minister for Railways it now appears that the children will be allowed to travel free. When vve receive definite information on this point we will make it public.
