The Chairman stated that he had conferred with the local Stationmaster as to further details, and had been in formed that a special train would run, provided sufficient induce- . ment offered. No provision had been .made for parents in connection with the excursion. It meant a long day for the children and cast a great responsibility upon the teachres and committee. The visit, however, was worthy of the sacrifice to be made and was of great educational value to the children and inspired them with feelings of loyalty and patriotism. The head teacher said he had placed the matter before the scholars and approximately one hundred elder scholars have signified their willingness to go. He had no fear as to supervision. The children would be divided into squads. Committeemen expressed themselves in favour of the excursion and promised to co operate with the teachers.
