Foxton managed to get its best team away to play Fevin on Saturday, but met defeat at the hands of its opponents. At the close of the match the secretary, Mr Gabites, on behalf of the Foxton players, thanked the members of the Fevin Club for the excellent afternoon’s sport they had provided and extended them a hearty invitation to visit Foxton for a return match next Saturday, an invitation that the Fevin players promptly accepted.
