ENTERTAINMENTS.

PICTURE SHOW

The programme for Saturday night is to hand, and a glance through the items assures us it is good. Two industrial films showing us the manufacture of two largely used products, “ Walking Sticks” and “Sulphur.” The views of the interior of the factories, and the working arrangements make two very interesting subjects. The dramas are “ Lieutenant Daring and the Ship's Mascot,” a subject full of excitement. Lieutenant Daring is too well-known in his dangerous adventures to need any comment. “The Darling of the C.5.A.,” the story of a daring girl spy. “His Life,” the man who leaves mother, home, and sweetheart, to seek a fortune in the big city. Prosperity brings what? “In Swift Waters,” concerning the old adage that none but the brave deserve the fair. There is another old saw which says a little knowledge is a dangerous thing and the combination of these two sayings result in the story “ In Swift Waters.” A collection of funny films, “The Apache,” “The Girl I Left Behind Me,” “Just His Luck ” and “ Bessie’s Dream,” a new and novel comedy delightful in theme and thrilling in action.
