CORRESPONDENCE.
(To the Editor.)
Sir,— Without wishing to be thought a carping critic, I would like, as a ratepayer and a patron of the Municipal Pictures, to suggest that the mnsiciaas vary their selections a little. They are very efficient, and play very nicely, but one gets tired of hearing the same music too often. An occasional change would, I am sure, be appreciated by the audience. Then again, sir. don’t you think it is time the weird sounds that are manufactured behind the scenes —and supposed to make the pictures more realistic—could be done away with ? For instance, what sense is there in hearing sounds like horses ufiling on cobble stones when the steeds are travelling over soft earth ; motor oars looting, and bells riMCing at most inopportune true. * -> me, at any rate, such appear unnecessary. Apart from this our picture entertainments are real':; first-class. Hoping my remarks will be taker in the spirit in which they are written, I am, etc.,
