HORTICULTURAL SHOW.
Intending exhibitors at the Horticultural Society’s Spring Show are reminded that this exhibition takes place on Wednesday and Thursday next, and they should immediately look up their catalogues with a view to preparing their entries. The weather conditions this season have no doubt interfered to a large extent with the gardens, but from what our representative has seen in a ramble round there are any amount of fine blooms that if showu would make this year’s show one of the most successful in the history of the Society. These are particularly noticeable in the smaller gardens, the owners of which, in many cases, have not previously entered their blooms. What applies to cut blooms also applies to vegetables, and it is to be hoped that all who are able will exhibit, as we feel sure that if this were done the coming show would be a recerd one.
A special feature of the function this year will he the school work, for which a very large number of entries have already been received. Up to the present over 150 entries have been received by the secretary.
