By advertisement elsewhere in this issue Mr E. H. Crabb notifies the public that he has been appointed sole agent in this district for Blackball Coal. ■ Mr H, C. Easton notifies that all accounts unpaid by November 9th will be sued for without further notice. Accounts may be paid to MrF. D. Whibley. Messrs O. Cook and Co., notify the public that as from to-day all meat sold by the firm will be obtained from the Palmerston North Abattoirs and will bear the Government inspection brand, also, owing to the increased price of stock there will be a slight rise in the price of meat as from Monday next, and their terras will be strictly cash. As the great A. and P. Show at Palmerston North rapidiy approaches the topic becomes general and everyone is agog with anticipation. In his replace announcement Mr Geo, Stiles asks if the ladies are going and suggests a visit to his establishment for their dresses and millinery etc.*
