BOY’S BODY FOUND

Christchurch, Sept. 8. The mystery connected with the disappearance ou July 12th of “Bobby” (Harold) Smith, the five-year-old sou of George Charles Arthur Smith, has been cleared up by the finding of the boy’s body this afternoon by Walter George Palmer, of New Brighton, in the estuary near Sumner. The body was in a very decomposed condition, and without boots or hat. The general description tallies with that of the missing boy. It is assumed be (ell in the river in the vicinity of his parents’ residence, and as floods were frequent at the time, the body was carried away to the estuary.
