ANOTHER SHUNTING FATALITY.

Auckland, September 9. An accident which terminated fatally occuued at Newmarket railway station this afternoon, when Frederick G. Falkner, aged twenty-two years, was killed. Whilst shunting, Falkner ran in front of a traiu of moving waggons. His loot slipped, however, and he fell, and bclore ne conic rise the waggons ran over him. He was removed to the hospital, where he died half an hour after. His injuries were very severe. The accident is particularly sad, as the young man had only been married about a month, and this is the third death iu the family within quite a short period, his brother aud sister dying a few mouths ago.

The deceased had been iu the service of the Railway Department for the past five years, aud was regarded as a very promisiug young officer. Au inquest will be held to-day.
