The Hon. James Allen (Minister lor Finance) laid on the table the following statement oi receipts for the live monttis ended August 31st, 1912 :

Ordinary revenue, ,£3.729.583 3s 3d ; territorial revenue, ,£82,870 5s ; National endowment revenue, £59,413 19 s 7d : other receipts, £92 4s; total, £3,871,959 xis rod. This added to the balance on April 1, 1912, made a total of £4,679,235 3 s 6d. The expenditure was £1,603,373 16s 96 ; annual appropriation £2,241,575 ns qd ; total, £3,844,949 8s id. This left a balance 01 £834,258 15s sd. The receipts for the month of August totalled £898,138 6s 3d.
