The N.Z. Loan aud Mercaulile Agency Coy., Did., aud Reduced report: —On Wednesday we held a most successtul sale of dairy stock on account of Mr G. Milligan, at Kaimalarau. There was a large attendance, and competition was keen, the cows and heifers, including a number of backward aud late calvers, averaging 4s. Quotations: Cows, close to profit, to ,£ls 5s ; backward calvers, ,£8 to £<j 10s ; late calvers £s to £>l l springing heifers, ,£io 10s to £,Tr 10s ; sows with litter, 8s 6d to ,£8 ss.
At Palmerston North on Thursday, we had a small entry of sheep and cattle. A good demand existed and all lines sold freely. Quotations : Hoggets (good) 15s sd, store ewes ns 3d, rams 20s. Cattle —Yearling steers £2 ns, weauers 375, yearling heifers to jCs lyt,. heifers ,£3 17s 6d to /,4 7s 6d, id-montns iioistems and jeisey cross heifers, 14s, cows in calt £3 17s 6d to £4. xos, springing heifers £"] 7s 6d.
