A STRANGE ACT
Ashburton, June 21
This afternoon, a single middleaged man, named Maskew, residing with his father, deliberately cut his arm in five places with a tomahawk. He was removed to the hospital. Although the wounds are severe, it is not thought they will prove dangerous.
