A LONG FAST.

Linda Hazzard, the -‘fasting specialist,” who is now serving a sentence for the manslaughter of Miss Claire Williamson, who died as a result ol the starvation cure that she underwent at the hands of the prisoner, has just concluded a self-imposed fast ot 45 days.
“Dr Hazzard,” as she was known, undertook this long abstention from food with the object of relutiug the opinion expressed by medical experts at her tria. that the limit of human endurance in such an ordeal was fourteen days. Upon being weighed at the end of her fast, it was found that the woman had lost exactly 421 b., her present weight being xqolb.
