HOCKEY v. PATRIOTISM.

The Defence authorities have asked for the use of Forbury Park on June xst in connection with General Baden-Powell’s visit. A meeting of representatives of the various hockey clubs on Saturday night decided to instruct the executive or the Otago Hockey Association not to accede to the request as it would mean chat twenty-six teams would be prevented from playmg on that day, as well as the injury to tne ground.
