On Saturday, Foxtou was unable to gel a team together to travel to Levin, and consequently forfeited to Tainui. This forfeit makes the third match the local team has lost this season, aud to be in the running at all for the championship it will be necessary for them to register victories in all their remaining matches.
Next Saturday, P'oxtou will meet Hui Mai at Manakau, aud all players are requested to meet at Mr Ball’s billiardroom tomorrow night at 7'30 o’clock, to make ail arrangements in connection with the trip, and to discuss matters concerning the club in general. Every player should make a pomt ot being present.
Hui Mai and Shannon Seniors played a drawn game at Manakau on Saturday. Charlie Peri, one of the Shannon players, met with a rather bad accident to his knee, which will prevent him from again donning the jersey tor a considerable time.
The junior matches on Saturday resulted: Weraroa 13 v. Waitohu 5, Shannon 8 v. Koputaroa 3. In connection with the last-men-tioned match, Koputaroa has entered a protest on the ground that the Shannon team included a senior player.
