Nominations for the Marlborough Racing Club’s autumn meeting close with the secretary, Mr E. Griffiths, at Blenheim, on Saturday. This is a club that both gets and deserves encouragement by supporters of the sport from all parts. The stakes for the fourteen events total ,£ISOO, and with a Marlborough Cup the programme is a most creditable one. Owners should respond readily, more particularly as the local competitors, though not champions, will be sure to receive strong local support, thus making it probable that winners from a distance may expect fair dividends. A feature of the programme is the third money prizes, which are always popular with owmers. During the year the caretaker at Riverlands has again top dressed the course, which is in splendid order. Everything points towards a record meeting and a record entry on Saturday.
