SCHOOL CONCERT

The school concert, which takes place ou Monday next, December iSlh, promises to be a great success, A most interesting and varied programme is being prepared, consisting of action songs, drills, recitations, dialogues, solos and part songs. It is expected that there will be a bumper house, as tickets are selling well. The plan for stalls aud dress circle is now open at the Town Clerk’s office, where seats may be booked at the small extra charge of sixpence.

We would draw attention to the fact that the concert is in aid of the school funds, and that the proceeds will be spent ou the children, aud ou beautifying the school grounds.

PICTURE SHOW. Saturday night’s programme promises to be the best yet seen here, covering a varied aud interesting range of subjects, including the beautiful drama, " Thelma.” This film is an entertainment iu itself. Other pretty dramas entitled "Wedding Bells” and "The Spirit of the West,” will prove Intensely interesting. A beautiful study in natural history “Snakes and their Flabits,” present some very unusual aud fascinating views of these curious creatures. The scenic films include the glorious " Waterfalls of Piedra,” aud views of the scenery from " Courmayeur to Col-du-Geant.” Did you say fun? Listen to this: “ Hank aud Lank make a Mash”—this is funny enough for anything, but the gem of the evening, "Battered Bridegrooms, you should not miss. For a full list of films, see advertisement.
