A writ claiming damages has been served on the Wairarapa Age Company by j. M. Coradine, Mayor of Maslertou, for alleged libel contained in a letter published in that paper. N At'iiiK, November 24.
Mr H. lan Simsuu, Liberal candidate for the Hawke’s Bay seat, has issued a writ claiming £2OOO damages against the Hawke’s Bay Tribune for publication of an alleged libel. Mastkkton, November 24.
At the Magistrate’s Court this morning, Matthew Adams was lined wuu costs, lor keeping liquor lor sale. Nellie Cosliu was fined £2, with costs, for delivering liquor to a person tor a uo-liceuse district without the package being pioperly labelled.
