FIGURES FOR LAST ELECTION. In view of the poll to be taken on December 7th, the figures of last election should be of interest to our readers. According to the official year book the total number of persons on the rolls at the 190 S election was 537,003, of whom 188,140 voted for continuance, 162,562 for reduction, aud 221,471 for nolicense. Of these 235,554 were males and 186,399 females, making a total of 421,953 (including informal) who recorded their votes.

The Mauawatu electorate had 6230 names on the roll, of whom 48 xi recorded their votes, the valid votes, alter deducting those that were informal, totalling 4697. Ox the total 2208 voted for continuance, 1552 for leduction, and 2453 for uo-liceuse. There were 5400 electors on the Olaki rolls, 3956 valid votes being recorded out of a total who voted of 4016. The figures are ; For continuance, ISII ; for reduction, 1311 ; for uo-liceuse, 1970. The Foxton figures last election were : No-Ificense, 345 ; reduction, 19S ; continuance, 420.
