POLITICAL.

Elsewhere in this issue Mr Moncktou, the official Opposition candidate tor the Otaki electorate, publishes a manifesto which we commend to the careful perusal of electors. Mr Moncktou has addressed several meetings in the southern end of the electorate with marked success. He spoke at Waikauae last night and will address the electors at Otaki on Monday night. Mr Byron Brown will address the electors at the Whitaunui flaxmill, Moutoa, this evening. The meeting at Mr Gibbs’ mill had to be abandoned on Thursday, owing to the flooded state of the country in that locality.
