HIMATANGI RIFLE CLUB.
A meeting was held this week in Hammond’s Hall to present the trophies given by Messrs Conlou and Parkes. Mr R. Rand was the successful competitor, securing Mr Conlan’s trophy (a handsome Jubilee shooting bag;, C. Rand being second, securing Mr Parke’s trophy (a silver rose bowl). The scores in general were very good, and great interest was taken in the competition. The conditions of the shoot were; Right shots, six best to count, distances 500, 600 and 700 yards. Following were the scores: R. Rand 566, C. Rand 563, S. J. Plartlcy 562, W. Moffatt 555, R. Christensen 552, K. Furrie 544. The next competition commences next Saturday, exst insl., lor Mr S. Paul's and Millar and Gioigi’s trophy ; conditions 7 points.
