CORRESPONDENCE.

(To the Editor.)

Sir, —I beg of you to grant me a small space in your valuable paper in which to ask “ Aristoc — rat ” to reveal his identity, for two reasons : (i) That no resident in Foxton may be wrongly accused of writing such an ungentlemanly letter. (2) That everyone may have the opportunity of knowing that rare specimen of the people, which is so seldom met in New Zealand. I contend that “Aristoc—rat’s ” letter is an insult to every unit of the population of Foxton, which is solely ' comprised of “ the working class.” Thanking you for the kind insertion of the above, —I am, etc., N. Nickeps. (To the Editor.) Sir, —Will you kindly suggest to the caretaker of the Hall the necessity for preventing dogs roaming at ’urge in the Hall dun.sv ; i nance. We have had ci.ji.ign of this nuisance in the past. The place for these domestic pets is outside, not scratching themselves and generally roaming round in the building, to the inconvenience of people. I hope this hint will be taken by those in authority.—l am, etc., Scratch.

‘UNDER THE BANDMASTER’S BATON.

(To the Editor.)

Sir, “Ratepayer’s” little jokes are appreciated, but nom-de-plutnes must not expect notice from me, and my silence does not prove me in accord with their statements. —I am, etc., J. Goeder.
