ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
Wanganui, Oct. 5
This evening a man named Frank Thomas received concussion of the brain, au injured spine, and other injuries, as the result of a railway accident. During shunting operations he he had his foot caught under the guard’s vau, and was dragged along over sixty yards. TRAIN COLLIDES WITH TRAP. Hawkka, Oct. 5. An accident occurred on the Main South road railway crossing, early this evening, when a special goods train ran into a trap, this resulting in a middle-aged man named S. Turkiugtou being seriously injured. He was removed to the hospital in au unconscious condition. The man died yesterday morning, He leaves a wife and family of six children.
