The local amateurs have decided to stage their next performance on November Blh. The piece they have decided upon staying is the three-act farce “The Arabian Nights,’’ by Sydney Grundy. The first rehearsal was held last night. The following is the cast of characters :—Mr Arthur Hummingtop, Dr. Adams ; Ralph Ormerod, Mr A. McCall; Joshua Giliibraud, Mr R. Stevens; Dobson, Mr A. H. Boyes; Mrs Hummingtop, Miss Cook ; Mrs Gillibrand, Mrs Clemett ; Rosa Colombier, Mrs Boyes; Daisy Maitland, Miss Ryan ; Barbara, Miss F. Cook.

The above larce will be preceded by a very laughable curtain raiser.
