Winiata O’Connor M. Winiata Waldegrave McKewen M. Carroll Sciascia Arnold Ward Harkness W. Winiata Hopa George Emer., Backs, Ropata and Ford; forward, V. Carroll and Reid. Yesterday afternoon the Maori team played the Wellington reps, and suffered defeat to the tune of 26 points to 5. The game was not particularly a bright exhibition. > Matters were fairly even in the first spell, but in the second half Wellington had all the best of the argument. The Maori team included M. Winiata, Rawiri and W. Winiata from Horowhenua. The Wellington Rugby Union has suggested September 2nd, as a suitable date for the WellingtonHorowheuua junior rep. match.
